Taking the Correct Measurements

To find the perfect fit, measurements should ideally be taken over normal clothing (e.g., long underwear).

Waist: Measure at the narrowest point of your torso.
Hips: Measure at the widest point of your buttocks.
Height: Your total height from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.
Inseam: This is automatically calculated from the other measurements. It's better to choose a slightly longer inseam, as the pants can shorten when sitting or kneeling. In rare cases, the pants may be a little too long; in that case, please check our special sizes.

Layering Principle: Since you often wear fleece or thermal pants under sailing trousers, the trousers shouldn't be too tight. If you're exactly between two sizes, it's usually advisable to choose the larger size for sailing apparel.
Freedom of Movement: Sailing is a sport, and this requires trousers that don't feel restrictive when you bend or kneel. When in doubt, always choose one size larger.
Between Two Sizes? If you're between two sizes, I usually recommend the larger size for sailing jackets so that you can still wear a thick sweater or softshell jacket underneath on cold days.
