Device description

NAVDoctor is a portable NMEA 2000 network diagnostic tool/utility. It allows you to quickly check and diagnose the NMEA 2000 network. The tool combines the functionality of existing NMEA 2000 display programs and test equipment into a single, cost-effective and simple plug 'n play box.

The NAVDoctor is powered by the network itself and creates a local WiFi point to which you can connect your mobile phone, tablet or PC. Once connected, you easily access features via a web browser, eliminating the need to install complicated software.

The NMEA 2000 networks are based on a robust Canbus architecture. However, a poor device, cable or termination can adversely affect performance. Troubleshooting is often time-consuming and difficult. Having a NAVDoctor in your toolbox will save you time, money and most of all frustration.

The NAVDoctor is an indispensable tool for every marine electronics technician or installer. It offers the option of printing a network health check certificate to validate an installation and thereby improve customer service.

Configuration

You can set up the NavDoctor via its own web interface (no internet connection required). Simply open your web browser, enter the NavDoctor's IP address (which is always 192.168.1.1). You can set the Wi-Fi network name and password and even merge the NavDoctor's Wi-Fi with an existing onboard Wi-Fi network. So no complicated software or programming app is required.

The web interface allows you to analyze all devices connected to the NMEA 2000 network and obtain additional information about these devices. You can also view all received NMEA 2000 data (PGN).

The Health page of the web interface gives you an overview of the NMEA 2000 network (voltage, capacity of the NMEA 2000 network, etc.). Finally, the Network Report page analyzes the entire NMEA 2000 network, devices, data and can create a PDF to certify a NMEA 2000 installation.
