Unisex Texel Vest

The TEXEL vest is a lightweight, summery vest that is ideal for various outdoor activities. Its coated outer material is completely windproof, breathable, and waterproof. Since it is a sleeveless vest, the seams are not welded. The vest has a simple design.

The front zipper is backed with a water-repellent storm flap.
The two side slip pockets are covered with seamless protective flaps.
The zippers for the front and slip pockets are quality zippers from YKK.
A chin guard covers the front zipper at the top end.
The collar in the neck area is equipped with an extra lightweight fleece.
The vest has a total of four pockets: two internal chest pockets and two external slip pockets, all secured with zippers.
The vest hem can be adjusted in width using an elastic drawstring.

Taking the Right Measurements

To find the perfect fit, measurements should ideally be taken over your normal clothing (e.g., a light fleece).

Chest: Measure at the widest part of your chest, directly under your armpits.
Waist: Measure at the narrowest part of your torso.
Hips: Measure at the widest part of your buttocks.
Arm Length: Measure from the base of your shoulder, over your bent elbow, to your wrist.
Height: Your total height from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.
Note: For jackets, the chest measurement is the most important. The other measurements are usually derived from it. So, choose primarily based on the chest measurement.

Tipps für die richtige Wahl

Layering principle: Since you often wear fleece or thermal shirts under sailing jackets, the jacket shouldn't be too tight. If you're between sizes, it's usually advisable to choose the larger size for sailing apparel.
Freedom of movement: Sailing is a sport, and this requires a jacket that doesn't feel restrictive when you bend or stretch. If in doubt, always choose a size larger.
Length: The jacket should be long enough to partially cover your buttocks even when sitting (e.g., on the rail) to prevent water from getting in.
