The WLN10 Smart from Digital Yacht is a NMEA 0183 to WiFi converter for integrating tablets and mobile devices into your navigation systems. This WiFi server allows apps and software to display and calculate information in real time. The WLN10 creates a secure, password-protected WiFi network on board.

For example, when you connect to an AIS system, real-time AIS targets and identity data are displayed on detailed electronic mapping. This is done using compatible apps such as NV Charts, TimeZero, Aqua Map, iAIS, iSailor, Seapilot, etc. This turns the tablet into a fully-fledged chartplotter.

This new version of the WLN10 can now be programmed for NMEA 0183 data at 4800 or 38400 baud via the simple browser interface. For initial programming, simply log in to the IP address and you can set the baud rate, SSID and your password. It's not complicated programming!

The WLN10 can be configured via its own web interface. To do this, simply open your web browser. Then enter the IP address of the WLN10 and you can set the baud rates, network name, password and AP mode. No complicated programming software or app is required.

The WLN10 supports UDP (up to 7 devices simultaneously) and TCP/IP protocols for maximum compatibility with apps. This server is bidirectional, allowing certain apps and software to control the autopilot directly.

With the NMEA0183 input you can also use our SeaTalk to NMEA adapter to network the SeaTalk instrument data directly to the WLN10.

To make it easier for you to connect the WLN10 to your navigation system, we have put together a list of circuit diagrams for you.

Configuration

You can set up the WLN10 via its own web interface (no internet connection required). Simply open your web browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla, etc.) and enter the WLN10's IP address (which is always 192.168.1.1).

You can set the NMEA 0183 interface speed, WiFi network name and password, and even merge the WLN10's WiFi with an existing onboard WiFi network. So no complicated software or programming app is required.

You can even view the received NMEA 0183 data in the web interface to make troubleshooting easier. Finally, the WLN10 supports TCP and UDP network protocols for maximum compatibility with nautical chart apps
