Advantages of polyester
PET, as a textile fiber, has some very useful properties. PET stretches only a little and is therefore very dimensionally stable and creases little. The tear resistance of the textile fiber made of PET is very high. The particular suitability of PET fiber for sportswear results from the fact that this fiber absorbs very little water. Because sportswear should dry quickly on the body. If this were not the case, the body could cool down with the corresponding problems for the muscles.
Advantages of polychloride (PVC)
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) comes in different structures that have different properties. The so-called plasticized PVC-P is a hard and inelastic plastic that is often used to manufacture floors, window profiles, pipes and hard-shell cases. The unplasticized PVC-U is an elastic plastic that is processed into cable insulation, shoe soles, rubber gloves or hoses. This form of polyvinyl chloride is also used in the coating and manufacture of clothing. These manufactured textiles include raincoats and rheumatism underwear.
