Taking the Correct Measurements

To find the perfect fit, measurements should ideally be taken over normal clothing (e.g., long underwear).

Waist: Measure at the narrowest point of your torso.
Hips: Measure at the widest point of your buttocks.
Height: Your total height from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.
Inseam: This is automatically calculated from the other measurements. It's better to choose a slightly longer inseam, as the pants can shorten when sitting or kneeling. In rare cases, the pants may be a little too long; in that case, please check our special sizes.
Note: For pants, the waist or hip circumference is the most important measurement. The other measurements are usually derived from this. Therefore, choose primarily based on these two criteria.

size	waist [cm]	stride length [cm]	height [cm]
XS, 34	62 – 66	76	160 – 164
S, 36/38	67 – 74	77	165 – 170
S+	hip circumference 106 - 111, stride length 77,5
M, 40/42	75 – 82	78	168 – 173
M+	hip circumference 112 - 117
M Überlänge	stride length 88,5 cm
L, 44/46	83 – 94	79	171 – 176

XL, 48/50	95 – 106	80	174 – 179

XXL, 52	107 – 112	81	177 – 182

Tips for Choosing the Right Sailing Clothing

Layering Principle: Since you often wear fleece or thermal pants under sailing trousers, the trousers shouldn't be too tight. If you're exactly between two sizes, it's usually advisable to choose the larger size for sailing apparel.
Freedom of Movement: Sailing is a sport, and this requires trousers that don't feel restrictive when you bend or kneel. When in doubt, always choose one size larger.
Between Two Sizes? If you're between two sizes, I usually recommend the larger size for sailing jackets so that you can still wear a thick sweater or softshell jacket underneath on cold days.

Enjoy your waterproof trousers from Crazy4Sailing for a long time by following these simple care tips:

Rinse: After wearing, rinse the trousers briefly with water to remove salt and dirt.
Washing: If necessary, you can wash the trousers in the washing machine with a mild detergent and on a gentle cycle. Please do not use bleach or fabric softener.
Air dry: Hang the trousers to dry - preferably not in direct sunlight or near heaters.
Refresh: If the trousers become less water-repellent after a while, you can simply refresh them with a commercially available waterproofing spray for outdoor clothing.
Storage: Store the trousers in a dry place to have them ready for your next adventure.
