iKonvert is an intelligent and flexible NMEA2000 gateway. It is available as a NMEA2000-0183 or NMEA2000 on USB version. This NMEA 2000 to USB converter allows navigation software to receive NMEA2000 data and can also receive NMEA2000 data in raw format to enable very detailed analysis and control of navigation data.

Any popular marine navigation application running on PC/MAC/LINUX computers can read NMEA0183 data. For all of these programs, iKonvert offers a simple, reliable and cost-effective way to access navigation data on a NMEA2000 network. Simply set the DIP switches in iKonvert to the desired data mode and iKonvert will extract the selected data from the NMEA2000 network. These are then made available to your marine application in a format and at a baud rate they support.

For developers who are developing new applications or know how to decode NMEA2000 PGNs, iKonvert can easily be set to “RAW mode”. This allows the data to be read and written in a simple serial data format. We publish this data format on our iKonvert Github page.

Digital Yacht's iKonvert converter is housed in a compact and easy-to-install housing, with an integrated USB cable and a standard NMEA2000 micro drop cable (plug). iKonvert operates at a baud rate of 230KB in “RAW mode” and 4.8KB, 38.4KB or 115KB in NMEA0183 conversion mode and provides complete galvanic isolation between USB interface and NMEA2000 network. All modes can be easily selected via the internal DIP switches without the need for special configuration software or firmware changes.

The iKonvert USB interface is compatible with all common operating systems (Windows/Mac/LINUX/Android). The NMEA0183 version of iKonvert provides direct connection between NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 systems.
